Every muzzle we make starts with your dog's face — not a shelf product. Here's what goes into designing and printing one properly.
Every muzzle starts with precise measurements taken from your dog — nose length, width, circumference, cheek width, and more. Combined with photos from multiple angles, these give us a real picture of your dog's unique facial structure. Standard muzzles work from averages. We don't.
Using your measurements and photos, we build a 3D model around your dog's specific geometry. Not a resized template — a design built from scratch. We account for breathing room, panting space, treat access, and strap placement. For brachycephalic breeds, this means carefully working around the flatter facial structure that makes standard muzzles sit so poorly. The design stage is the longest part of the process — and where most of the value is created.
Once the design is finalised, your muzzle is printed in flexible TPU — a tough, skin-safe material that moves with your dog rather than against them. Each print takes up to two days. Straps and hardware are fitted by hand before the muzzle is inspected and sent out as a finished, wearable product.
Most muzzles — even premium ones — are made from hard, rigid plastic formed in a fixed mould. We use TPU. Here's why that matters.
Fixed shape — Designed around an average. If your dog doesn't match — and brachycephalic dogs rarely do — it won't sit right.
Rigid against the face — Hard plastic doesn't give. It presses at the same points every time your dog moves.
One size, scaled — The same mould stretched or shrunk. Proportions are never quite right for unusual face shapes.
Designed for volume — Made in bulk to a standard. Flat-faced dogs are an afterthought.
Moves with your dog — TPU is flexible — it gives under pressure and returns to shape. It works with your dog's face, not against it.
Designed around your dog's measurements — Not an average. Not a scaled template. Built from your dog's specific geometry.
Breathing room built in — We design around your dog's need for airflow — critical for brachycephalic breeds who already work harder to breathe.
Comfortable for extended wear — Fewer pressure points. A muzzle your dog can actually wear without distress.
Traditional muzzle manufacturing works at scale — the same mould, the same shape, thousands of times. That works for standard dogs. For brachycephalic breeds and unusual face shapes, it simply doesn't.
3D printing has no minimum order, no fixed mould, and no standard shape. Every file we send to the printer is different. That's what makes genuinely custom muzzles possible — not as a luxury, but as the only viable way to do it properly.
If something needs refining, we adjust the file and reprint. No retooling, no waste, no compromise.
Each muzzle is a unique design file — nothing stretched from a standard template.
Adjust the file and reprint. No retooling cost, no wasted stock.
We print when you order, to the design we made for your dog.
The shapes brachycephalic breeds need can't be economically injection-moulded in small numbers.
