Our Boston Terrier Albie needed a muzzle. We tried several — including custom-made ones — but nothing quite worked. His flat face, short snout, and small frame meant standard shapes simply didn't fit him well. So we designed one ourselves.
While working through that process, we realised how many dogs are in the same position. Brachycephalic breeds and small dogs are routinely left out of standard muzzle design. The Muzzle Studio exists to change that.
We're based in Hertfordshire and currently in pre-launch, developing our muzzle system with our founding group of dogs. Join the waiting list to be first to know when we open for general orders.
Standard muzzles are built around standard snouts. For brachycephalic breeds — Boston Terriers, Pugs, French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Boxers and more — that means muzzles that don't sit right, restrict breathing, or simply won't stay on.
We don't think any dog should go without a properly fitting muzzle just because their face doesn't conform to a template. Every dog deserves to feel safe, and every owner deserves peace of mind.
Like Albie — the dog who started it all. Short snout, wide face, and a personality that deserves a muzzle that fits.
Flat-faced with a wide jaw. Standard basket muzzles rarely sit correctly without sliding or restricting breathing.
One of the most extreme brachycephalic faces. Requires careful shaping with plenty of room for airflow.
Small, flat-faced, and routinely overlooked by both standard and custom muzzle makers.
Larger brachycephalic breed with a uniquely shaped snout.
English and French Bulldogs both have distinct face shapes that need a muzzle built from scratch.
Falls between standard sizes? We design around measurements, not templates.
